Well at Least I am in the Top 3

WIN
PLACE
SHOW:

OK-so I wasn't in love with Charlotte but since blocking-its growing on me!

I would totally knit this again-but next time I will probably just do it one colorway. Mostly because I am apparently CRAP at mixing Koigu.

So Buttercup....where you at?

Didn't I say I hated charts?

I don't get along well with charts...at all-but I can't help myself-first up

Hanami Stole in Malabrigo Lace

I love this yarn-amazingly soft!

Next up....

Yarn for the Charlotte's Web. The one on the far right most likely won't make it into the shawl but I had to get it anyway...I'm afraid-wish me luck!

My Friday Outfitters

Elly posted the challenge:

Style this top-now this is just not me. I am way to sloppy for it-its a really nice design & I am a big Kim Hargreaves fan-so my first instinct is to dress it way down.

First off I think I would make it in a different color than shown-this is Rowan Felted Tweed in "Watery"

I would wear a longer tank underneath it...maybe in a muted gold color?

Then I'd throw on this great vintage Gap skirt

and the black tights of course

I can also see me adding this:

Celebrate!

It was my Blogiversary-its been a great year and I'm so happy I started it

I met this girl

and started this Podcast

Then came Ravelry-which has been more fun then I could have imagined-especially with all the new groups...if you are still awaiting your invite-I would suggest that you get all your stash & projects up on Flickr so you will be all set to go when it comes!

and through that & Skype have met dozens of great folks and made some great new friends-thanks to everyone for stopping by!

and I'm still slogging away on the Montego Bay Scarf-but in past experience the most uninteresting thing for me to knit has been my favorites so I think that its a good sign!

UFO Attack

I cleaned out half of my closet today-it yielded 4 UFO's! I can't believe it-must have gotten disgusted by the projects somewhere along the line, balled it up, threw it in the closet-here are 2:

Its called the Felted Plaid bag from Three Yarn Fairies-great pattern-but clearly I did a rotten job of crocheting the vertical stripes. Looking at it now I think its kind of cute-bad stripes and all-all that's left to do is tack on the straps!

Number 2: Zigzag Stripes scarf by Debbie Bliss from the book "Scarf Style". I have no idea why I gave up on this-the colors are pretty wild but I kind of like it that way-I will probably be finishing this soon.

Stay tuned for more....Tales from the Closet
